Het 6,1-inch LTPO Super Retina XDR OLED-scherm heeft een resolutie van 1179 x 2556 pixels en een verversingssnelheid van 120Hz. Het ondersteunt HDR10 en Dolby Vision en is voorzien van Ceramic Shield-glas.
Binnenin zitten de Apple A17 Pro-chip en 8 GB werkgeheugen. Het model ondersteunt iOS 17 en kan worden bijgewerkt naar iOS 26.1. Voor verbindingen zijn onder meer 5G, wifi 6e en Bluetooth 5.3 aanwezig.
De camera-opstelling bestaat uit een 48 MP-groothoekcamera, een 12 MP-telecamera met 3x optische zoom en een 12 MP-ultragroothoekcamera. Ook een LiDAR-scanner is aanwezig. Video opnemen kan in 4K tot 60 fps, met ondersteuning voor onder meer ProRes en Dolby Vision HDR.
De iPhone 15 Pro heeft een USB Type-C 3.2 Gen 2-aansluiting met DisplayPort. Opladen kan bedraad of draadloos via MagSafe. Draadloos opladen via Qi2 wordt ondersteund na de update naar iOS 17.2.
